I like the red stuff better than other fillings such as caramel or chocolate sauce

Cheese & Onion and Spicy Cheddar.  Both tasted pretty much the same.  They're not making any effort at the Lay's idea factory.

I bought this KitKat at Sobeys for the rip off  price of $1.99 and it was horrible.  The girl at the gas station had told me that it tasted more like brown chocolate than white chocolate, but it did not.  It's like white chocolate, slightly sour taste and burns the back of your mouth.  YUCK

I got C4 at Popeye's.  It is like Gatorade powder but sugar free and with caffeine.

Bulk Barn has new chocolate covered almonds.  Left is sugar free with cocoa powder and right is ?? with oreo crumbs

I found this bizarre salami in Superstore with walnuts in it.

I asked my coworker what does CEP mean in Turkish.  He said pocket.  You can keep this box of almonds & dried cranberries in your pocket.

These Bourbon cookies are from India. They are OK. Even though this is the black version, they're still not THAT chocolatey.

I got these chips at Farm Boy. You're supposed to eat them during a snowstorm.

February 2019 Ogdensburg Oddities

I'll bring these Oreos to work.

Haribo sour cubes (unrecognizable flavours), Rice Krispies treats (I will bring to work)

I bought a lot of Hershey kisses for work

Gatorade Pulsa Fuego (pineapple mango). They were getting rid of Tate's xmas cookies (double chocolate peppermint - can't even taste the mint.  Maybe it evaporated.)  They were all $2 (only this flavour). In Canada they are over $7.

Mogu Mogu

These Hi-Chew candies are individually wrapped (but I think the same as the ones that come in a foil pack).  The Baton chocolate is from Brazil. My coworker told me that in Brazil they call lipstick Baton and that the chocolates used to be just sold as cylinders.

I went with old coworker friends to The Greek Souvlaki House.  Although it had the same name, it was not like the old restaurant that used to have giant portions, etc.  I did not like this tomato gravy on everything and also I felt very sick even the next day.  Also I got an extremely stale brownie, rock hard!

January 2019 local items

I made this pie with a gluten free pie crust shells from superstore.  The crust somehow went bad and one of them smelled weird but I used it anyway and avoided eating the top crust.

there is a new kind of blueberry bread. I think I got it at Walmart. It tastes a lot like raisin bread.

I made this soup in the intant pot with random Giant Tiger ingredients. It turned out just fine.

pork schnitzel from Bier Markt downtown.  It was acceptable.

I got these crepes at Whole Foods.  The filling inside was way too sweet.

This was my dessert at Bier Markt, the flourless chocolate cake. It was pretty dry and hard and it was $9!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we went to Flavours of Kerala, a South Indian restaurant where you can eat from a stainless steel prison tray.  The paratha was delicious.  The food reminded me a lot of Coconut Lagoon.

Meatloaf was made at the same time in the Instantpot but then I had to put it under the broiler to make it look nicer.

New Nestle Atelier chocolate bars from Superstore.  The taste is similar to Cadbury fruit & nut but smaller and more expensive. Would not buy again.
