Kettle Brand Red Curry Potato Chips - they taste nothing like Thai red curry

Betty Crocker Pineapple Upside-Down cake mix - it actually had a small can of crushed pineapple in the box!  I thought it tasted gross but Mother liked it!

Ruffles Poutine chips - yuck

I got these last week in Costco out of curiosity. OMG they were disgusting.  I haven't tried Krispy Kreme donuts too many times since they only sell cold ones here sometimes.  From what I remember, a hot one is good.. But these were really bad - with each bite I had a feeling of eating lard or something meaty.  Very very greasy. 

This made me lol in Walmart.  The lady sucking back the sandwich.. right beside those creepy footlong frankfurters.

It's that time of year.. I made a Jell-O cake for the strawberry social party at work.

I got these in Mac's convenience store, klondike mint and banana taffy.  Did not try them yet. I left them in my cubicle for coworkers to sample.

Finally I tried a sandwich from Franks Bakery and Catering.  This is #11 White Girl. It took me all day and I didn't finish it. Huge portion size but very fresh.  It had lettuce, tomato, mayo and mustard but you can't tell that from this pic.

Vanilla crack - I got this recipe from a Joanne Fluke mystery book. This turns out really great if you follow the instructions properly. If you get the temperature or timing wrong, it doesn't set properly into hard toffee.  It has nuts, crackers, sugar, butter.. Very delicious.

Sun and moon cookies (chocolate dipped orange cookies).  Also from Joanne Fluke mystery novel.

peanut butter & grape jelly cookies. Surprisingly good.  The grape jelly is very fragrant when they're baking.

Another kind of Jell-o cake with cool-whip. Not so good.

Coca cola cake. 2 billion THUMBS DOWN! Doesn't taste like coke. My mom says it gave her a terrible aftertaste. The lumps are pecan pieces.

Here are some classics from 2009 and 2010

I saw these once in Ogdensburg Walmart.  It was hard to find somebody willing to sample it.  It had a very thick layer of dust on the cans too.

I don't know what this thing is called.  It contains plums or apples and cooked rice and sugar and sometimes meringue.  You cook it before eating. It is old school Euro style.

This was my first time seeing EXTRA GIANT Marshmallows (fist sized).  I saw them in Price Chopper in Watertown, NY in 2009.

I saw this Capilano Snap N Squeeze Australian Honey in Hannaford's in Watertown, NY in 2009.  Since then the crocodile hunter has passed away.

I saw Crastan  Effervescent??! in Food Basic n 2009. It contains baking soda for digesting.

I got this Jolly Time Mallow Magic Marshmallow Treat Flavoured popcorn in 2009.  I got some coworkers to try it.  It didn't taste right.

These throwback drinks started showing up in Ogdensburg in 2010.  Pretty good flavour.  The first time I tried the Throwback Pepsi, it reminded me of how colas used to taste.  But these days, they don't taste right, even if you get the Throwback ones.

Proof of concept for a United Way bake sale in 2010. I was testing if fruit roll ups would show up or melt or what.
Step 1: bake a white cake.
Step 2: cover it with fruit, candies, etc.
Step 3: Prepare the jello as per instructions and pour the hot liquid over the cake.
Step 4: Refrigerate
Step 5: It's delicious

Awww yeah, here is the real cake I made for the bake sale.  Blue jell-o ocean scene with hammerhead sharks made of fruit roll-ups!
