I got this Batman cereal at walmart. It was disgusting. Nobody at work wants to eat it.  It is GREASY and very very dusty.

One time Fernand's wife made something like this so I was excited to see them in Freshco... but the taste was disappointing compared to the home made one.

Got a GIANT flake in my raisin bran.

Two new flavours of KitKat in Superstore.  The mint one was gross (didn't taste like chocolate).  The Cookies & Cream one was OK, only because it tasted like regular, not like white chocolate.

These cookies were a damn ripoff.  The cookies were very small and there were very few in the box.  Stick to Peek Freans!

 I got this chocolate cheese in Farm Boy.  Ennhh not worth the money.  Might as well eat some Philadelphia chocolate cream cheese.

Hasselback potatoes

 This is take out chicken curry from Nu Caribbean. I noticed this restaurant while driving around during lunch.  The curry was pretty bland but still good.  The lady at the cash is super nice.

January T&T, Popeye's and Panera

I found out on Reddit that we have a Popeye's restaurant here so I decided to head out to T&T area to see what's new.

at Panera, I got the "Thai" wonton broth bowl.  It was actually pretty good and you get a free bun or cookie or chips.  I would definitely go back.

Popeye's popcorn shrimp with fries.  This place was nuts.  Took me 20 minutes to get my order.  Sounds like it has been this way for two months since it first opened.

Fried chicken. I also tried rice & beans and mashed potatoes.  The biscuit was extremely salty.

Make your own marmalade?

uhhh my coworkers ate most of them.. I would not buy this again.  Found it in Your Independent Grocer.

I got the recipe for this no-bake cheesecake from sooey.  It was delicious and only takes like 5 minutes to make.

The packaging is excellent for these lily flavoured rice balls but I wonder how they will taste so I always chicken out.

Maybe I should have gotten this upgrade.  They look good.

January Ogdensburg oddities

I got these Ching's Secret instant noodles/soups also from Vashali store.  I tried the Singapore one. Kind of disappointing.  A coworker drank the hot and sour soup.  He claimed it was OK.  Another coworker said he would drink the Manchow.  These soups donate money to charity to feed people in India, according to the company's website.

Smart Ones frozen smoothies

Wise white cheddar popcorn - tastes very salty.  Not as good as SmartFood popcorn.

Fuze berry flavored punch.  I bought this because it was only $0.65 or something for a giant bottle.

xmastime restaurant visits and a trip to Sobeys

We went to The Tea Party.  My glass was kind of dirty (drip marks all over the outside).  I hope they washed it.  This is rosehip tea.

This is High Tea for 3 of us. A puny amount of food, but it was only $15 per person unlike Chateau Laurier which is like $35.

Sobeys has a lot of Jamie Oliver frozen meals.  Who calls fish sticks BRILLIANT?  Also on the negative side, I have read in the gossip sites that he does not wash his hands after using the restroom.

I got 2 kinds of cookies from Sobeys.  Friggin ripoff.  They were disgusting! Not made of butter.

A visit to Authentic Vietnamese Pho House.  It was OK. P01 rare beef soup.

Went to The Waverley.  The food was OK (not even as good as Swiss Chalet) and the service was poor.

Vanilla crack, recipe from Joanne Fluke mystery novel/cookbook.  I was testing the recipe and it failed to harden AGAIN.

Lay's Old Fashioned Bar-B-Q chips: They taste familiar and give a weird aftertaste at the back of your tongue.

Lindt Pineapple.  Pretty good and sweet

Testing shortbread recipe and icing recipe from Company's Coming cookbook.  I used gluten free Robin Hood flour, though, so it had a weird taste, kind of whole-wheat-ish.

This chocolate marshmallow roll is another recipe from the Company's Coming cookbook.  Why does the recipe call for 1 raw egg?!?!?

Got these at Vashali Indian grocery store.  The Lays Magic Masala chips were too spicy but the crazy Badam drink was alright (milk, rose and almond flavour). It was like drinking lumpy pepto bismol.
