November 2016 local items

Went to "The Manx" pub for the first time.  These are so-called vegetarian tofu tacos.  Note the complete absence of sour cream, cheese, tomatoes, lettuce.  The fake meat tasted like stuffing (bread) mixed with bland taco seasonings.  It was impossible to finish.  I gave up and felt sick.

Some coworker friends and I went to Hanahana, a Korean place in Kanata.  The so called Korean Fried Chicken was a lot like General Tao (saucy) but worse.  I also got vermicelli rice rolls.  They contained some tiny brown specks as well as a brown hair!

Time to get CSI on these specks found in the rice rolls.  Unfortunately I couldn't find the camera that came with the microscope.

Seems to be plant matter.
